As a student ensure that you have Registered for Resident Permit for a peaceful stay as a student.
Residence Permit is a statutory requirement by the government of Ghana for all International Students studying in Ghana including AIT. The Permit helps legalize and regularize the stay of International Students over a given period of time of one year. It is renewed yearly until one completes his or her study. The following are the requirements for obtaining Residence Permit in Ghana:
1. Non Citizenship Identification
2. International Passport/ Ecowas Travel Pass.
3. Letter of Admission from accredited Institution.
4. Proof of payment of school fees to accredited Institution/ University
5. Introduction letter from the Students Institution or university.
6. Completed Application form from Ghana Immigration Service.
7. Two passport size photographs.
Failure to obtain the Permit within the stipulated period of sixty (60)/Ninety (90) days usually given at the point of entry expires, will result in payment of a penalty.
